NHSE Personalised Care Strategic Coproduction Group (Sep 2017 – Mar 2026)
People with ‘lived experience’ (LE) of personalised approach to health care help deliver and shape key healthcare programmes. Leadership role and champions personalisation; ensures offer is clear, empowering and outcomes-focused; promotes what is important and what works for people with LE; enables ‘on the ground’ feedback. LE representative on UPC Delivery Board, IPC Programme Board, National Improvement Board, PWB Workshops, Personalised Care Collaborative, PHB regional network, PCN DES Working Group, NHS@Home and PPE Steering Groups and the NHS Citizen Advisory Group.

In addition to affiliate lecturer presentations, interview assistance and workshops, Rob is responsible for editing the PPG newsletter.

Independent international think tank community of fellows who work together to bring about positive social change, who believe in the equality of all human beings and the value of human diversity; innovate and try to bring about positive social change; support the work of The Centre for Welfare Reform and share what they have learned so others can benefit too. Rob joined in 2015.

Advice By Experience Leeds (ABEL) enables people with lived experience to be involved in teaching and contribute to specialist health and social care research in the University. Actively shares his experiences with students through presentations, role-play scenarios, interviews, workshops and moderation panels. Rob chairs group meetings and support CPD sessions for qualified social workers.
Director, Leeds Centre for Integrated Living (Nov 2011 – Dec 2025)
Leeds Centre for Integrated Living (Leeds CIL) was set up in 1998 and provides a variety of support services for disabled and older people in the Leeds area who want to take control of any help they need with personal care and daily living tasks. They plan to further develop their services through other contracts and directly provided services to individual customers. Rob has used his business to redevelop their website which launched at the end of June 2011 and he is a director in an advisory capacity on the LCIL Management Board.
Volunteer, Free To Live Leeds (Mar 2008 – Feb 2018)
Group supported those using Personal Budgets or Direct Payments; helped those who wanted to manage their own care; having their first care plan assessment or needed advice/support from people already managing their own care. Through the group my HE involvement extended to the University of Manchester, Rishworth School, University of Sheffield, University of York, University of Leeds, Bradford College, Bradford University.
